- Senior operational leadership role
- Committed Christian person sought
- Based in Sydney, Australia
Anglican Deaconess Ministries (ADM) is an endowed Christian women’s foundation, founded in 1891 by evangelical Anglicans in Sydney. Although more than 127 years old, ADM has had an enduring mission - to raise up women with theological formation, for practical and public engagement. Its vision is to see women flourishing in Kingdom work.
ADM seeks a new Chief of Operations (COO). This role is central to the ministries of ADM, ensuring the faithful and successful operations of ADM. The COO will support the CEO in all operational functions; design, oversee and implement business operations aligned with the strategic plan; lead the design and implementation of effective and efficient HR management; support and coach the Executive to implement ADM’s strategy; and establish policies that promote ADM’s culture and vision. The significant management responsibility of the COO is to “make things work” in the organisation.
The areas reporting into the COO include accounts, special projects, administration, company secretarial, graphic design and IT support. The COO also oversees HR and legal matters for ADM.
The successful candidate will be: a Christian with a vibrant faith and a strong, personal commitment to the mission and vision of ADM; service oriented; suitably experienced in operational leadership, preferably across a range of operational or corporate services areas; capable in coordination and project management; and skilled in coaching peers. Ideally they will also have led a human resources function, although this is not essential.
