Description

Parkside Church in suburban Cleveland, Ohio is currently seeking one-year pastoral residents and missions residents starting September 2019.

We are a Bible-based, evangelical, non-denominational church led by senior pastor Alistair Begg. Our pastoral team serves over 4,000 Sunday attendees at four locations.  We are looking for men who sense that God may be calling them to full-time ministry in:

  • youth ministry
  • senior pastorate
  • church-planting
  • worship/music ministry
  • missions

Our residency program offers opportunities to practice teaching the Bible in various ministries, assist in the leadership of adult and youth ministries, participate in pastoral staff meetings, and participate in general church events. For those interested in leading worship/music, we offer the opportunity to arrange and lead worship at one of our campuses.  For those interested in missions, we tailor the program to incorporate more missions-related ministries and a short-term trip experience if possible.

Residents have the opportunity to come and do what pastors do with the safety net of doing it alongside an experienced pastor. Our residency program is designed to not only provide a year of practical experience, but also to help young men discern God’s call for their life.

If interested and you would like to set up a date and time for a phone interview please email only to Linn Nash at residency@parksidechurch.com.

Qualifications

We are primarily looking for graduating seniors (from the undergraduate and graduate levels) as well as juniors who are considering their next move after graduation.  Potential residents are not required to a have ministry-type major to be considered or even have a significant amount of prior experience.
