Part Time Vice President

FOCUS Ministries, Inc. is a 501c3 nonprofit faith-based organization that provides counseling, women's faith-based support groups, and educational material for teens, women, and families who experience domestic violence and abusive relationships offering hope and healing through Jesus Christ. We also provide trainings, seminars, and workshops regarding domestic violence and faith issues.

Essential Functions:

Operational Management

  • Administrative tasks
  • Secretarial tasks

Program Management

  • Program development
  • Overseeing projects
  • Program promotion

Community and Public Relations

  • Works with the president in events, conferences, seminars, training, exhibits
  • Speaking engagements, networking
  • Developing relationships with churches and stakeholders

Product Development

  • Assist the president in the development of manuals, brochures, and resources
  • Write newsletter Constant Contact

Fundraising Development

  • Develop fundraising events
  • Assist the president and participate in fundraising events

Lay Counseling via emails, phone calls, and in person

Oversee Women's Support Groups

Skills

  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Access, and email
  • Must be organized, efficient, detail oriented and a self-starter.
  • Possess leadership, management, communication, and people skills

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with experience and knowledge of domestic violence
  • Prefer 40 to 48 hours of Domestic Violence training
  • Possess leadership, management, communication, and people skills
  • Is passionate about FOCUS Ministries and signs and agrees with our Statement of Faith
  • Must be organized, efficient, detail oriented and a self-starter.
  • Has the ability to work on several projects at the same time and meet the deadlines.
  • Responsible/Lives a testimony of integrity and has a desire to be accountable
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Access, and email

Experience Requirements

Three years nonprofit experience

Three years of working with women who experience domestic violence/abusive relationshps

Three years experience as a trainer for domestic violence
